Doesn't look ok :-(

Code: Select all
root@fvdw-sta-kirkwood:/sbin # ln -s busybox fsck
ln: fsck: File exists
root@fvdw-sta-kirkwood:/sbin # fsck -V /dev/sde2
fsck (busybox 1.21.0, 2013-02-04 10:48:06 GMT+1)
fsck: can't read '/etc/fstab': No such file or directory
[fsck.auto (1) -- ] fsck.auto /dev/sde2
fsck: fsck.auto: No such file or directory

Found : viewtopic.php?f=26&t=1412&start=20
(and note that he failed to transfer file after rebuilding the raid via fvdw-sl console)

So you must wait the static e2fsck file or if you have another linux platform. (plug sde in your 2d linux platform, check if it is not auto mounted and run e2fsck if it is available)

the e2fsk command is
Code: Select all
e2fsck -n -f -v /dev/???
(??? is the device name of sde) Just for testing and remove the flag -n to repair

Note: I go to be not here for one hour now...

Unfortunately e2fsck1.41.14.zip from the other post is damaged.
And I don't really understand what you mean?

Could you please elaborate a bit more and tell me where to get a good version of e2fsck?

Kind regards,

Frank

Yes I know it
Jocko wrote:upload the static e2fsck (viewtopic.php?f=26&t=1412&p=9504&hilit=e2fsck+static#p9504) but the file is also corrupted you need to wait fvdw

So the best way is to wait fvdw for posting again the package.

I think he comes here soon...

here you go e2fsck, should work with the standalone kernel.

ps the standalone kernel in that comes with fvdw-sl console 5.4 has a mini glibc version and can handle also some binaries that need those lib's.

ps1 transporting large files via ftp in busybox may be a problem. Why don't you hook up an usb disk ? The usb mass storage driver is included in the kirkwood standalone kernel. You may need to mount the usb device and it should be formatted in ext3 or xfs.

e2fsck and mdadm are now available here:

Just because pacco doesn't have yet an unused USB disk (but later)
