I am busy right now with compilining some other stuff, but I will try to do it this evening, it merely only adating the init script in the kernel to bring up eth1 instead of eth0

@fvdw

Attached some files updated for using eth1 instead of eth0.
These files must be used after installing firmware version 15.0 by using the fvdwsl console

thanks Jocko

attached a standalone kernel that should enable LAN port 2 (ETH1) to use it put it in the fvdw-sl tftp folder and choose this kernel when starting standalone kernel

ps this kernel is useless on other devices then 5big2 as al others have only one LAN port

a few more information

if you don't install it you can never get access to your NAS. At least the file laniffunc_configure.finc must be upload from the fvdw-sl console before rebooting the NAS.

pity to hear that. It might be possible to bring it back to live by using an usb-lan dongle in case the two lan ports are gone.
