Hope that you mean delete /lacie/md4 with the slash before the name lacie. Right?

My Lacie had three volumes, called Concerts, Movies and Music.
Now on the try directory, I found the files that were in "concerts"
So the easy way to restore your share should be to set at least 2 other shares with a temporary name and rename them (and also try share) in accordance with their content.

ok, for do this, i have to follow the same instructions used for create the dir "try"?

1) mkdir -m 777 /shares/try (obviously a new name)
2) go on dashboard and create a dir with the new name

or i can go directly on step 2?

I think it is better to create again the default share "Share" as you did for the share "Public"

But do it only after recovering your 3 shares

SOLVED!
Thanks to the preparation, the infinite patience of @Jocko and also at the support of site-admin @fvdv. Finally my three volumes, are available and usable again on my Lacie.

In the end all need to learn something. I was, and am, a noob on linux, but this week I had to document myself, and now I've discovered that it is possible to access Lacie via ssh, this thanks to the installation of a custom-capsules.
I found out from @Jocko the various nests of a nas, and the most diverse aspects on the RAID configuration, so I only can say once again, thank you, and yes i want to say that I just helped with a donation to the site.
It's not too much, but it is in any case something, that I did with deep gratitude.

my respect and regards

Hi Glaven Clattuck

thank you for the contribution.
This will be used to keep the server up and nothing is free even if some think the opposite.
