Ok, with this version, I am not sure the following trick works but you can try.
To enable ssh access and reset the password for user root to the same as the default password of the user admin (which you know) :
Unpack the files in the zip archive attached and put the files in the tftp folder of the fvdw-sl console
Load and start the standalone kernel, assemble the sdx8 raid array and mount it(I assume you use /dev/md1 respectively /md1 as mount point):
- Code: Select all
tftp -r mdadm -l /sbin/mdadm -g ip-pc
chmod 777 /sbin/mdadm
mdadm --assemble /dev/md1 /dev/sd[abcde]8
mkdir /md1
mount /dev/md1 /md1
Replace existing files on md1 by the ones in the attached archive
Upload them using tftp command in standalone kernel, cd to the corresponding folder first to make you life easy
the file "default.runlevel" goes into folder
/md1/etc/initng/runlevel/
- Code: Select all
cd /md1/etc/initng/runlevel
tftp -l default.runlevel -r default.runlevel -g ip-pc
the file sshd.i goes into folder
/md1/etc/initng
- Code: Select all
cd /md1/etc/initng
cp sshd.i sshd.i.org
tftp -l sshd.i -r sshd.i-g ip-pc
Note: replace ip-pc by actual ip address of your pc
then reboot and see if you can open a shell session with root user (and pwd is the same than admin account)
Caution: ssh daemon does not use the default port (22) but 2222, so you need to give this port when you will try to connect for example with Putty.
If it works, detail fully your disks state : what raid is set and how many disks it contains
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
