Attached a zip archive with a copy of the 5big2 spi flash of Jocko

Extract them in the tfp folder of the fvdw-sl console and choose action flash u-boot in the fvdw-sl console and choose the file u-boot-5big2-spi-3416-1517.bin as file to write to flash
The console will check the md5 sum of the u-boot image using the second file with extension md5 intis package before uploading it to the 5big2 and writing it to flash, it will abort the process if md5sum of the file as present on your pc doesn't match with the number in the md5 file, meaning file is corrupt and writing a corrupt file to flash is a bad idea

Please note that we do not take any responsibility for using this file and writing it to flash.
Flashing u-boot always has a risk and if it goes wrong it might brick your nas.
When you decide to use this file and write it to flash, don't blame us if it goes wrong for whatever reason
.

Currently your nas is a brick only as you use 3TB disks with gpt partition.

Note: it is not a diskless version, so you will need to install manually the firmware on the disks

Got error: "Could not find md5 original file, abort"

Both files are in the fvdw-sl_console/tftp folder.
What's wrong?

my fault, rename the file with extension md5
from
Code: Select all
u-boot-5big2-spi-3416-1517.md5

to
Code: Select all
u-boot-5big2-spi-3416-1517.bin.md5

:scratch funny

you should have now two files
Code: Select all
u-boot-5big2-spi-3416-1517.bin
u-boot-5big2-spi-3416-1517.bin.md5

and you should select the file to upload in the flash u-boot action
Code: Select all
u-boot-5big2-spi-3416-1517.bin

did you do that ?

I checked the source code, you must have made a type error in the file name
The md5 file should have the same name as u-boot bin file but added
Code: Select all
.md5

so it searches for the file
Code: Select all
u-boot-5big2-spi-3416-1517.bin.md5

If it cannot find that file you get this error

Something was wrong with the console.
It didn't see .md5 files for any u-boot files.
The console has been reinstalled.
Now everything is OK.

U-boot was upgraded successfully.

Many thanks!
