There is a bug (or a feature?) in windows operating system: Broadcasts (clunc) are only sent to the first active ethernet interface. You have to disable all ethernet interfaces but the only one you want to use to configure your NAS.

Or you try a service like WinIPBroadcast which multiplies the broadcast to each interface

No you should be able to download files from plugout.

But according with the session log, there is a strange behaviour with your account.

Indeed I noted whereas you are logged, when you try to download, phpbb does not use your session but the Anonymous account. Then you fail to do it as this account can not download any file.

So I assume there is an issue on your side with the cookies (you must allow them).

Try again to download after deleting plugout cookies with Safari (it is the browser you used) or try with another browser (delete also plugout cookie on the last one)

Hi, I am trying to run fvdw guide on page 1 of this post but while I've created the partition table fine, when getting to:

Now we need to format a few partitions
on linux command line give commands to format partitions 7 , 8 and 9

mke2fs-64 -j -m 1 /dev/sda7
mke2fs-64 -j -m 1 /dev/sda8
mke2fs-64 -j -m 1 /dev/sda9

I get the message:

Thats an old guide, try to use as command mke2fs or mke2fs-ext3 and use the latest fvdw-sl console 6.0 . That version has also an installer that can do all automatic

I've already installed the latest fvdw-sl console. How do I go about installing this original crap firmware directly from the console?

Oops sorry, you want to install the Lacie firmware and not fvdw-sl. The console only has an installer for fvdw-sl firmware, my fault, I did not read your post carefully enough
