Hum!

You tried to run step 7 directly whereas you had just run the step 4 :shocked (according to the topic https://plugout.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3059

So you have to run the steps 5 and 6 before. Please to note upgrade to version 17.0 must be run manually. See the topic how to do it.

Oups I understood I would already be able to update within the web interface with "firmware upgrade via fvdw-sl server".
PATCH ENABLING INSTALL OF FVDW-SL-17-0 installed
Now I want to install 17.0 but I can't with the console still have the telnet issue.

Should I unmount the disk and update from ubuntu ?

Sorry I did not get enough information what is a manual upgrade.

You do not need to use fvdw-sl console but still the firmware menu with a user action. It is the user which provides the upgrade package and not the firmware which downloads itself the latest update package.

So with a manual upgrade, the user can either downgrade the firmware version or use the latest version.

Then to install version 17.0, download the packages for version 17.0 (rar files), extract its zip file. Upload the zip and run the manual upgrade like described here : https://plugout.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3059#p38736

Hi Jocko, need some little help again.

I want to upgrade my disk to a 2TB who was waiting for his time.

fdisk and -u=cylinders command is not working anymore
also when creating a new partition(n in fdisk) it does not ask for extended or primary

any idea ? -> create new partition table MSDos :woohoo

Hi

First step is to check if a partition table exists. So can you post
Code: Select all
fdisk -l /dev/sdb
where sdb is your 2TB for example
