Hlep to identify this ethernet lacie hd case

Postby arssant » Thu Nov 11, 2021 4:01 pm

Hi.
I just found this Lacie network HD, hard drive was missing as power supply, and I couldn't identify the correct model.
White case, black base, power jack, ethernet port, usb port, power button, and blue led on the base.
Power supply I'm guessing its 12v 2 amps, but for the board cant find any reference, or picture online.
I tried all stickers, and PCB numbers, but with no success.
I attached some pics, any tip or info will be great.

Thanks.

Hi.
Thanks.
I think you arecorrect.
I found a similar board with a description of the serial connector, connected my usb to ttl adapter and I got this info:

Code: Select all

And I just remember a few years ago, I made a blind shoot without knowing the correct device and installed fvdw, but so far I remember due to a bad power supply or switch, even sniffing my network I couldn't find any active device. Just found the HD, and I got it online.

Now new issue, can not connect with correct user/pass for I presume "admin-nas" via web interface.

Code: Select all

I found over the forum a php script called restore_adminpassword, found the link, but no longer available for download.

So 2 options: make a fresh install or asking for this script for my current installation: 1.2.9.fw
Just to correct my info: fwd v 15.1

Again thanks for your help.

Hi

Indeed I disabled the attachment because the command is now included in the firmware image. But it is not the case with version 15.1.

I restored the attachment. So should be able to download it now

Merci :applause

Any way, I got other issues.

php /share/1000/restore_adminpassword.php
original password:
can not read the database/share/1000 #

Share dir is not mounted over sda8 on boot. I read onr the forum ( from you Jocko ) about missing share dir.
I did it manually over serial ( mount /dev/sda8 /share/1000 ) even dir 1000 does not exist. And fe2fsck -y /dev/sda8 report no error.
So, I think the best way to take care of this issue will get a try with a fresh install, but not today...

Again, thanks
